Our Preceptorship Programs in both Adult and General Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry are each designed to provide foreign educated dentists with opportunities to obtain practical experiences in postdoctoral dental education and basic sciences.
The programs share a joint goal to help increase the knowledge base in advanced and specialty dentistry, dental public health, treatment of diverse patient populations and dental emergencies.
In doing so, individuals enrolled in the Preceptorship Program receive significant exposure to post-doctoral clinical and didactic training in anticipation of enhancing their application for admission to accredited American or Canadian dental schools.
Information for each opportunity can be found via the following links.
Please review the Chesapeake Health Care APPLICATION PROCESS for a summary of the various required steps to complete an application.
Individuals may also request to be considered for Preceptorship Programs that encompass each of the two above discipline areas and that also includes exposure to public health activities, including school based outreach experiences.
